Standing on the Rock

The other day in my room after dedicating myself to our God in Prayer and Thanksgiving, my attention directed to the attached picture which I took on my recent mission trip to Pilar Island. When I strolled along the seaside in the early morning, I was amazed by these two trees(I don't know the kind of trees) that were naturally growing out of solid rock without any soil on it. Pastor Salili told me that they have survived there for years, perhaps even more than a century and they are still alive with green leaves!

The thought came to my mind, and it gives me meanigful significance relating to GlobalNIM and the feeding and gospel video mission which is The Will of God. Looking at this picture, the solid rock where trees are rooted upon, through and under signifies the connection and partnership with Global NIM. It really reflects this partnership with Global NIM under the powerful Presence of God in us through The Holy Spirit working with one goal - to do the Last command of Jesus Christ, who died and rose from grave for you and me. He became Our Savior and Lord. He paid the accounts of sin penalty long ago at the cross of calvary.

In this regard, I can't ask for more to move me with this call without you and the churches in the U.S. and individuals who are praying and supporting us through prayers and [financial] support...

Thank you for your leadership and concern for us Filipinos and for allowing us to be part of GlobalNim. I know in heaven there are many Filipinos there, and it is because we obey our Lord's Command.

With words of gratefulness from the depths of my heart, Pastor Elmerson Palabrica
