Typhoon Frank

God is good more than anything else in Jesus!

It has been a challenging experience here with our 4 sets of feeding and gospel film mission activities, because the typhoon locally named "Frank" devastated some major cities in the Visayas and Mindanao, even some parts in Luzon; however, for us here in Davao City, we just encountered heavy rain showers but no strong winds, yet our mission activity was not disturbed.

In one Barangay or Village in Island Garden City of Samal named Barangay Sion, where we held our feeding mission, it took us 3 hrs ride by hired motorcycle in order for our team to reach in that Barangay, which is located in the mountinous part of that Island particularly in Caputian town. While we were serving food at 6:30pm, at 7pm there was a black out in the whole Island and heavy rains came, so we used candles to give us light while serving food, though we were shaded by covered Multi Purpose building while serving food. This happened in our June 19 activity.

We also had served food in Barangay Cogon in the following day in the 20th where the typhon sank the big Ship carrying more 700 plus passengers that was missing last friday. And, so with our schedule we pursued and found some strategy to go on with the gospel films presentation. We found a small barbeque stand to shade our small film equipment if rains came in the midst of the presentation. While doing the gospel films, we cut in the climax and gave invitation to the crowd; there were souls that came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and a lot of them asked and need Cebuano bibles to start a home church there.

I just praised God for my two friend Pastors Jerry Solmiron Foursquare Church in Babak IGACOS and Cris Reyes of Christ Community Church in Cogon Babak. IGACOS promised to start a home church in that mission outreach. (By the way, the villages we served for mission have no Evangelical Churches.) These pastors thanked God for the food served and the gospel mission in these villages. (The projects) were so successful, and they told me that they would start following up on those new professions of faith and start bible studies there and then become a home church. Praise the Lord!

There were two villages we served last week with the same bad weather situation which I also sent and attached in the mail so that... you can pray and be delighted for your financial support given to this mission to win souls to Christ. Psalms 82 is reality now and evident today. Our God in heaven is meeting conference for the success of our mission for His Glory and Honor in His Son Jesus, no more no less.

For my family here, we're fine and in good health, by God's grace, thank you for minding us in your prayers and meditation.
I will be doing two scheduled feeding and gospel missions this week and next week
